Crime After Crime Movie Screening

During the 10 days of repentance, let's join together for this important view of justice, mercy, compassion and a new beginning. Light boxed dinner will be given out.
We are asking for a donation of at least $5 per person to cover the costs of preparing the meal. All additional donations will go to support the Education Department and Ma'asim Tovim's ongoing activities.

Congregation Shaarie Torah's Maasim Tovim Committee, and the Jewish Community Relations Council of the Jewish Federation is proud to present CRIME AFTER CRIME - A dramatic story of the legal battle to free Debbie Peagler, an incarcerated African American survivor of domestic violence. She was wrongly convicted of the murder of her abusive boyfriend, and sentenced to life in prison.
The film premiered at Sundance, and won over 25 awards, including the prestigious National Board of Review Freedom of Expression Award and the Robert F. Kennedy Journalism Award.
